Kaloshin Playground

Kaloshin Playground

on Dec 16, 2015

This playground has to be one of the best-kept secrets in the area. Tucked away behind the apartment blocks, I discovered it over the winter when the lack of leaves on the trees meant that I could just catch a glimpse of the tops of the climbing frames.  Now that spring is here you could easily walk down Kaloshin Pereulok and miss it completely.

It is one of the bigger playgrounds in the area with several extensive climbing frames incorporating tunnels, lots of slides and some nice features that I haven’t spotted elsewhere like mini-climbing walls and stepping stones.

There is also lots for adventurous toddlers. In particular, it is one of only a few playgrounds I have found that has a baby swing, and the roundabout also has special seats for little people. One of the tunnels is at ground level so even those who are crawling can have fun.

My kids think it is great and as the whole area is shaded by trees I imagine over the summer you’ll find us here quite a lot!

The playground is just off the Old Arbat half-way down Kaloshin Pereulok. You can find Kaloshin Pereulok on my map here.
